Great Food!

We came here for lunch on a Sunday on our way home from a Weekend Girls Trip in March. We called a couple of hours to book a table for 8.

Shortly after while on our way there we got a call back saying there was black out so certain food wouldnt be available. We were ok because we were just craving Sashimi and sushi in general...didnt know what else to expect on their menu.

We got to Kobe and it was quiet. Staff was nice and greeted us well, we sat down and ordered. Not long afer the lights came back on so were able to order anything!

We had the Sushi Boat, some crab noodle soup and fish on sizzling plate. Dont know the names as i didnt to the order. We were so hungry we just kept ordering. We finished everything on the table.

The sushi with all the little condiments to go with it was delicious. The soup was nice and the seaweed was nice too, just a touch too sweet...and im a person who geneally likes sweet!

We ordered the matcha creme brulee as a desert to share because we were all so full. I cant really taste the matcha, but then again i dont know what it tastes like! Never had one before!

Overall, the food was statisfying it really hit out Japanese fix, we were satisfied. Price was so worth it. I could be going to a sushi shop and just ordering sushi alone would be expensive already. This was our feast!

Service was great, it was quiet too so cant complain.

Planning to bring my daughters here one days as the really love sushi and i think its worth it.

Great fun for couples or the family

We took our kids (teenages) to Kobe for dinner on Saturday for the first time. There was something on the menu for everyone. The food was delicious, John (our chef) was wonderful and we had lots of fun. The great thing is that they can cater for couples, or groups. Noone misses out! We will definitely be visiting again.

First time at Teppanyaki - enjoyed

Teppanyaki is more about the experience than it is the food which was fanastic. Chef John was great fun. I did not know what to expect but had a great time.

Simply Lovely

Went with three friends for a casual lunch. Hostess was lovely and attentive, food was delicious. Not cheap, but worth it. The quality is great. Parking is hard, go underground.

Fun, great value and Delicious. What more can you ask.

Enjoyable evening. Teppanyaki food was delicious. Chef John was amazing. It was my sons 1st time and the experience is one he will remember for a long time.

We recently celebrated a work anniversary here with 20 guests it was a little squishy around the table, we have many large men in our group. Food was cooked and presented beautifully. Fresh and the beef melted in your mouth.

Happily catered to a vegan and vegetarian in our group. Service was great and prompt, although had to ask for drinks throughout the night.

Bowl throwing and rice throwing across the room added to the entertainment.

Would come again and see how it is with a more intimate group.

With a booking of 20 ppl, fair enough being a Tuesday night, there was only one banana fritter available for dessert. An oversight I am sure.

Great place!!

Great service and tasty food. We had the starter plan as we don't eat a lot of seafood. Loved this place and thoroughly enjoyed the sake.Only complainant was the fried rice which is not Japanese at all. Just plain rice would be better like you get everywhere in Japan

Thoroughly enjoyable

First time here tonight, had a lovely fresh, healthy alacarte meal. All food was presented well, nicely cooked and tasty, good variety and reasonably priced. Service was great, lovely tea and saki mojito was a perfect match. Will be back to try teppanyaki

Enjoyable meal

I have been dining at this restaurant for many years! The food is always consistently good and the service is always outstanding. For a suburban restaurant it ticks all the boxes. The gyoyza is fantastic and the wafu steak very good. The banana fritters are ok but do need more topping on them for a bit more flavour!! I will continue to be a regular customer.

Impressive food and dining experience

Kobe Teppanyaki is a little bit of Japan in the eastern suburbs of Melbourne.

My beautiful partner and I enjoyed a lovely evening meal here and were both impressed with the atmosphere, decor, service and of course, the food.

We both had the Kaisen Set menu, which is seafood based and a delight from start to finish.

Sitting there watching the energetic and skilfull chef ply his trade was both, exciting and entertaining and it definitely is part of the complete package, that is Teppanyaki.

Their selection of seafood is first class and the prawns in particular where amazing to look at as they were all lined up on the hotplate and to ultimately, eat.

I would most definitely like to return.
